Raw electrical signal, refined into a clear metric.

Current Metrics helps utilities, fleets, and infrastructure owners plan the electrification transition with the same rigor they'd expect from a quantitative analyst, and the same technical grounding they'd expect from an engineer who's built the systems firsthand.

Field signal Modeled output

Two disciplines. One engagement.

Most firms offer one side of this or the other. Current Metrics runs the technical assessment and the financial model in the same engagement, so the numbers you get are grounded in how these systems actually behave in the field.

Electrification

Fleet Electrification Roadmap

Duty-cycle and route analysis, total cost of ownership modeling against your existing fleet, and a phased transition plan sequenced by vehicle class and route priority.

Charging Infrastructure Feasibility & Siting

Site assessment covering power availability, utility interconnection, and demand charge exposure, with charger type and quantity sized to your actual fleet, not a generic template.

Grid Impact & Load Forecasting

Load curve modeling for EV adoption scenarios, peak demand impact analysis, and cost-benefit modeling for infrastructure upgrades before you commit capital.

Analytics

Business Analytics & Data Strategy

Custom dashboards and KPI tracking built around the decisions you actually need to make, predictive and scenario modeling, and data infrastructure setup for teams without an in-house analyst.

Signature engagement

The Electrification Analytics Package

A single bundled engagement combining fleet, siting, and grid analysis into one financial model, built by someone who has actually commissioned these systems, not just modeled them from a spreadsheet.

Built on two decades in the field, and a quantitative degree to back it up.

Current Metrics is led by Robert Chiang, a PMP-certified senior project manager with over 20 years leading mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects across telecom, data centers, and utility-scale EV charging deployment.

Robert currently leads DC fast-charging infrastructure deployment programs at BC Hydro, following senior roles delivering AC/DC power systems for telecom central offices and data centers at Alpha Technologies, regional project leadership across Latin America at Emerson Network Power / Vertiv, 5G construction delivery at TELUS, and infrastructure work at Schindler Elevator.

In 2026 he completed a STEM-designated Master of Science in Quantitative Management at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, pairing his field experience with formal training in data-driven decision modeling. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

That combination, hands-on commissioning experience and quantitative rigor, is what Current Metrics brings to every engagement: numbers you can trust, grounded in how these systems actually perform once they're built.
